Qualifications

• High school diploma required with a four- to five-year apprenticeship.
• Six years of journeyman steamfitter experience.
• EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification Type II or universal.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Ability to train and direct assigned personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, repair, and servicing of piping and related systems.
• Install piping on new construction and existing facilities maintenance or modernization projects.
• Disassemble service, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain steam boilers, hot water boilers, and gas furnaces.
• Maintain, repair, and replace thermostats, pumps, gauges, valves, and related components.
• Install heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, boilers, steam lines, and gas lines.
• Provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel.
• Drive a District service truck and perform related duties as assigned.
