Job summary

University of California, Irvine Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Steam Plant Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of the steam plant and related HVAC systems. You will ensure preventive work is completed and records are accurately maintained.

Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, you will coordinate schedules, respond to hospital needs, and adapt to overtime or alternate shifts as required, bringing at least two years of relevant experience and a valid California

Qualifications

• Understanding of regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards.
• Steam Plant Operator License - Unlimited.
• Possession of E.P.A. certification.
• Must work overtime or alternate shifts as required to meet hospital needs.
• Minimum two years relevant experience.
• Current State of California Driver's License.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers technical manuals.

• Oversee the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of the Steam Plant and associated HVAC equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance.
