Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Steam Plant Operator to manage the operation, maintenance and repair of the Steam Plant and related HVAC equipment. The role requires coordinating preventive maintenance, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling work, interpreting schematics and manuals, and being willing to work overtime or alternate shifts to meet hospital needs.

Qualifications

• Understanding of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards.
• Steam Plant Operator License – Unlimited.
• EPA certification.
• Minimum two years relevant experience.
• California driver's license.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers' technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prioritizes, coordinates, schedules, and reviews the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Steam Plant and associated equipment, including the air conditioning and ventilating equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring the completion of all preventive maintenance duties and maintaining all appropriate records.
