LAUKOA is seeking Stationary Engineers to operate the Boulder Central Utility Plant on a 24/7/365 schedule. You will manage boilers, chillers, pumps, and Metasys controls to ensure safe, reliable plant operation and to meet laboratory and facility load requirements.

The role requires multiple years of stationary engineering experience, familiarity with high‑pressure steam and refrigeration, and the ability to work rotating shifts while maintaining safety and compliance across the site in

Qualifikationen

• Minimum four years of verifiable stationary engineering experience.
• Experience operating high‑pressure steam boilers (>10 hp) and steam pressure >15 psi or boilers >250°F.
• Experience operating refrigeration equipment.
• Must obtain/maintain a City and County of Denver Stationary Engineer Certificate within 180 days.
• Experience with building management systems; Metasys experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Operate the Central Utility Plant to meet daily steam, chilled water, and laboratory-grade compressed air load requirements.
• Monitor, log, and communicate Metasys alarms; coordinate with the on‑duty HVAC Mechanic.
• Remain on duty in Building 42 or nearby; supervise shifts when designated.
• Perform routine inspections, readings, calibration checks, and condition assessments each shift.
• Notify management and Government of outages, safety concerns, or major repairs.
