Job summary
LAUKOA is seeking a Project Engineer Chief Engineer for the Boulder CO Central Utility Plant. The role provides on-site technical leadership, coordinating quality services and sustaining daily operating documentation for boilers, chillers, and related central plant systems.
The position requires qualified Stationary Engineer credentials, experience with high-pressure boilers and refrigeration equipment, and a Denver certification within 180 days.
Qualifications
- Qualified Stationary Engineer with large mechanical systems experience.
- Experience with high pressure steam/high temp water boilers.
- Valid/obtainable Denver Stationary Engineer certificate within 180 days.
Responsibilities
- Provide on site technical leadership during core hours.
- Coordinate quality operations, maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair services.
- Provide technical assistance to engineers, management and subcontractors.
- Evaluate systems and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.
- Submit daily logs using Government format by 9:00 AM.
- Support operation of steam, chilled water, compressed air and related systems.
- Review alarms, trends, logs, and maintenance records.
- Support outage coordination, troubleshooting and restoration of critical services.
- Participate in weekly meetings with Project Manager and Government reps.
- Perform Stationary Engineer functions when assigned and qualified.
