Job summary

Aelut Federal, LLC seeks a Stationary Engineer Lead to operate, maintain and repair boilers, HVAC and related systems at Fort Eustis, VA. This role requires 24/7 availability, with on-call rotations and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include responding to outages, monitoring equipment, performing maintenance, and coordinating with contractors while ensuring occupant comfort and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience of verified Journey Level Stationary Engineer.
• Current Boiler License or Stationary Engineer License.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical operation and maintenance of power generation equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and related mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Monitor system performance and make operational adjustments to maintain efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Inspect equipment for leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, pressure irregularities, or safety concerns.
• Maintain proper water chemistry and treatment levels for boiler systems, when applicable.
• Replace filters, belts, motors, valves, bearings, thermostats, gauges, and other system components.
• Maintain accurate and timely completion of work orders, documentation and deadlines.
• Maintains proper flow of communication with other SE and management team.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and facility personnel as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
