Job summary

NVE seeks an experienced Stationary Engineer to support Operations & Maintenance at a Federal Facility in Laurel, MD. The role requires licensed engineering credentials and dedication to learning new equipment.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining the building automation system, performing maintenance as per standards, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain government clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in operation of large chillers (≥500 tons) and boilers (≥125 HP).
• Experience in industrial or government facilities; labs desirable.
• First Class Engineer License required; licensing and training proofs will be requested during application.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the facility and building automation system.
• Perform tours of areas/equipment as directed by management.
• Handle service calls, diagnostics and repairs as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance per NVE standards and industry best practices.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and maintain equipment under contract.
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per Government contract.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
