Job summary

The State of Wyoming is seeking a skilled carpenter to maintain and preserve the Capitol complex and Cheyenne facilities. You will lead diverse carpentry projects, perform repairs, builds, and renovations to keep buildings safe, functional, and welcoming.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree with 0–1 year (or 3–4 years with substitution) in carpentry, ability to work independently and with teams, and willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies, ensuring quality workmanship in state facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience: 0-1 year in carpentry (or 3-4 years with substitution).
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, constructs, and maintains state-owned Capitol complex and Cheyenne facilities.
• Maintain interior components: floors, walls, doors, ceilings, furniture.
• Exterior components: roofing, walls, windows, masonry veneers.
• Maintain roof drains, gutters, and flashing.
• Assist in writing scopes of work for subcontractors and coordinating with project managers.
