Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Standards Application Engineer to support strategic design and development of Product and System Selection used by the field in Selection Navigator. The role reports to the Director-HVAC Install Ops Support and helps shape systems strategy, tools and processes.

This position is remote and offers broad exposure to global teams. The candidate will drive long-term plans, coordinate with Product Owners and IT, and lead efforts to improve customer and employee

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations, CS or related field.
• 8+ years in engineering of low-voltage systems (Fire Alarm, Security, HVAC).
• 5+ years using Selection Navigator to engineer projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Execute long-term and short-term plans for Selector development, work plans, timelines and budgets.
• Provide anticipatory feedback on pain points, inefficiencies and change needs.
• Own seamless deployment of programs to the business.
• Drive standardization, simplicity and harmonization of processes.
• Partner with Global Product and IT to align approaches and share feedback.
• Drive detailed user stories with Product Owners and estimate efforts.
• Support design, build and test activities, including integration to boundary systems.
