ACCIONA is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Lead/Manager in the United States to design and execute engagement strategies for a major water infrastructure project. You will serve as the primary interface with communities, government entities, regulators, and Indigenous groups, ensuring transparent communication and trusted relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• +8 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, or public affairs, preferably in large scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the United States on complex multi-stakeholder projects; Mexico experience highly desired.
• Experience with public sector processes, permitting, and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of managing sensitive community issues and building consensus among diverse groups.
• Experience working with joint ventures or international organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Stakeholder Engagement Plan aligned with project goals and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, map, and engage community groups, government entities, and affected parties.
• Support community outreach including public meetings and workshops; manage grievance mechanisms.
• Act as primary contact for stakeholder inquiries and ensure transparent communication.
• Collaborate with engineering, environmental, legal, and communications teams for consistent messaging.
• Support permitting and regulatory processes; facilitate communication with authorities.
• Monitor stakeholder sentiment and proactively address risks and issues.
• Prepare reports and communications for leadership and external audiences.
