DeFabCo Inc. is seeking a Shop Fabricator – Lead Stainless Steel Fabrication and Precision Welding in Columbus, OH. You will perform precise layout and fitup, TIG and MIG welding, and laser programming on stainless steel components, interpreting detailed drawings to meet exact specs.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in metal layout, fitup, laser programming and welding.
Proven TIG and MIG welding expertise with stainless steel.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from detailed engineering blueprints.
Strong skill in performing material takeoffs from technical drawings.
Commitment to safety and precision in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

Perform precise layout and fitup for complex stainless steel weldments to meet exact project specs.
Execute high-quality TIG and MIG welds primarily on stainless steel.
Program and operate laser cutting machinery to streamline fabrication.
Interpret complex blueprints and drawings to create accurate material takeoffs.
Conduct thorough quality checks on finished assemblies for structural and aesthetic integrity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area per company standards.
