Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional programming experience.
• Experience developing motion control software.
• Experience developing haptic control software.
• Experience with kinematics.
• Experience with real-time or close-to-real-time systems.
• Experience with surgical navigation software a plus.
• Experience in object-oriented analysis and design.
• Experience programming in C/C++ required; experience with Rust a plus.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools a plus.
• Experience developing software tools, utilities, and libraries/components.
• Experience in Medical Device field a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as a key contributor in small teams.
• Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, testing and documentation of robotic platform with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop prototypes, proofs of concept in addition to production-quality solutions.
• Carry-out investigations and root cause analysis for troubleshooting.
• Ensure efficient performance and scalability of solutions.
• Provide guidance and oversight for other software engineers on the team.
• Demonstrate a passion for software development, software craftsmanship, and test-driven development.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
