Specialist Staffing Group is seeking a Senior/Staff/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead design and integration of electromechanical hardware for robotic surgical systems in a regulated medical device setting.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams to move concepts through verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer, ensuring design controls and risk management are addressed throughout development.

Qualifikationen

• Designs complex electromechanical systems for robotic hardware in medical devices.
• Experience working in regulated environments with design controls.
• Prototyping, testing, verification, and manufacturing transfer are expected.

Aufgaben

• Lead design/development of mechanical and electromechanical subsystems for a robotic surgical platform.
• Own hardware development throughout the product lifecycle from concept to transfer.
• Develop mechanisms involving precision motion, actuation, and robotic assemblies.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, tolerances, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with software, controls, and electrical teams for system integration.
• Perform FEA, tolerance analyses, reliability assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Support system architecture decisions and trade-offs.
• Develop and execute verification/validation testing strategies.
• Partner with manufacturing and suppliers for DFx and production scale-up.
• Participate in root cause investigations and design improvements.
• Contribute to medical device risk management and regulatory submissions.
