Job summary

Lead SSP at Sylvania in Swartz Creek, MI works with teachers, coaches and the principal to support MTSS and provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional support for students.

The role focuses on implementing MTSS interventions in literacy, math, and SEL; delivering small‑group and 1:1 supports; coordinating testing and progress monitoring; and maintaining data‑driven practices.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in MTSS for literacy, math, and behavior.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort using digital data tools.
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and small groups while managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of MTSS interventions in literacy, math, and social‑emotional learning.
• Provide small‑group and one‑on‑one academic interventions, enrichment opportunities, and behavior support.
• Assist with developing and organizing intervention materials, lessons, and small‑group resources.
• Help coordinate and administer NWEA testing and ongoing progress monitoring.
• Use spreadsheets and data systems to track student progress with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Support PBIS structures, reinforce positive behaviors, and guide students in healthy coping skills.
• Assist with schoolwide duties, including some recess and lunch supervision.
• Maintain punctual, consistent attendance and collaborate positively with staff.

The Lead SSP works closely with the teachers, instructional coaches, and the principal to support our Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional support for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of MTSS interventions in literacy, math, and social‑emotional learning.
• Provide small‑group and one‑on‑one academic interventions, enrichment opportunities, and behavior support.
• Assist with developing and organizing intervention materials, lessons, and small‑group resources.
• Help coordinate and administer NWEA testing and ongoing progress monitoring.
• Use spreadsheets and data systems to track student progress with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
