Job summary

Anza Mortgage Insurance Company in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based systems on AWS. You will lead a team of SREs, implement automation, and drive operational excellence across monitoring, incident response, and cost optimization.

The role emphasizes collaboration with software engineers and operations, with a focus on automation, DevOps practices, and robust disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• BS/BA is required; MA is preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SREs including FTEs and contractors.
• Define tasks, review PRs, and provide feedback.
• Design and implement scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
• Respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost with engineering teams.
• Drive infrastructure improvements and best practices.
• Establish disaster recovery plans for uptime.
