Job summary

Unicoat Industrial Roofing is seeking a Foam & Coatings Foreman to lead the safe, high-quality application of SPF and elastomeric coatings on commercial and industrial roofs. This hands-on role requires reading scopes of work, operating and repairing spray rigs, and ensuring first-pass pass inspection.

The right candidate will demonstrate meticulous prep, precise spray technique, and a strong commitment to safety while coordinating with the team to meet production targets and stay on budget.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on SPF and elastomeric coating experience on commercial/industrial roofs.
• Knowledge of SPF/coating manufacturers (NCFI, BASF, Carlisle/Henry, Gaco, Versaflex, etc.) and their specs.
• Proficient operating high‑pressure plural‑component spray equipment and proportioners (Graco Reactor, PMC).
• Experience leading or training a junior applicator.
• Read and interpret mil thickness readings, density checks, and manufacturer data sheets.
• OSHA safety standards including fall protection, respiratory protection, and confined-space entry.

Responsibilities

• Apply SPF and elastomeric coatings per manufacturer specifications on commercial/industrial roofs.
• Prepare substrates for application including cleaning, priming, masking, and addressing penetrations, flashings, and transitions.
• Operate and maintain spray rigs, proportioners, hoses, and spray guns; perform daily equipment checks and troubleshoot issues.
• Follow PPE, respirator, and confined-space safety protocols and complete a JHA on every job.
• Document each job with prep notes, batch numbers, mil thickness readings, weather conditions, and photos.
• Coordinate with the operations manager to manage material usage, hit production targets, and keep jobs on budget.
