Job summary

Edwards Moving & Rigging seeks a skilled SPMT Operator / Rigger in Atlanta, GA to supervise loadouts both in the yard and on site. You will mentor apprentices, direct riggers, and ensure work aligns with safety standards, lift plans, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities include leading daily crew activities, ensuring task clarity and productivity, and coordinating with foremen. The role requires 3-5 years of heavy rigging experience and certification readiness, with travel to project sites

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy rigging or related industry experience.
• Successful completion of the Leadman development and evaluation process.
• Level 1 Rigger Certification required; Level 2 preferred or in progress.
• Ability to read and interpret lift plans, rigging plans, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support the daily work of Riggers and Apprentices.
• Lead the crew in field operations and ensure safety expectations are met.
• Mentor less experienced employees in rigging techniques and company procedures.
• Coordinate crew activities to improve efficiency and project progress.
