Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking a Splunk O11Y- Observability Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and enablement of observability across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. The role focuses on instrumentation, telemetry pipelines, and service health modeling.

You will collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and platform teams to deliver full‑stack visibility, define SLIs/SLOs, and onboard new teams into the observability ecosystem with best practices and workshops.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing Splunk Observability Cloud (APM, Infra Monitoring, RUM, Log Observer).
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry (collectors, processors, exporters, instrumentation).
• Experience with distributed tracing, span analysis, and service dependency mapping.
• Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise and ITSI for integrated observability use cases.
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, and Azure).

Responsibilities

• Observability Architecture & Implementation: design and implement observability solutions using Splunk Observability Cloud.
• Application & Service Onboarding: onboard services into O11y and ITSI; define SLIs/SLOs and KPIs; build dashboards and alerts.
• ITSI & Splunk Core Integration: implement ITSI service models and integration with Splunk Core.
• Telemetry Pipeline Engineering: deploy and configure OTel collectors across environments; optimize pipelines for cost and reliability.
• Enablement & Best Practices: develop onboarding guides and run workshops for engineers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: collaborate with SRE, DevOps, Cloud, and Applications teams to embed observability.
