Job summary

Artesia-Palms-Care-Center in Cerritos, CA seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families. This role includes supervising CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students, conducting staff training, and ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.

You will participate in care conferences, support discharge planning, and promote infection control and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state; maintain license and continuing education.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
• Complete timely documentation in accordance with requirements.
• Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
