Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Georgia is seeking a dedicated K-1 special education teacher for a full-time contract in a self-contained classroom. You will lead instruction and develop IEP goals while coordinating with two paraprofessionals to create a nurturing, structured environment.

You will deliver differentiated instruction across Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies, track progress, and ensure compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Special Education Adapted Curriculum Certification.
• Certification in Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
• Proven ability to write and carry out IEPs.
• Experience with behavior intervention strategies and effective classroom management.
• Minimum of three professional references, including one recent supervisor (principal, AP, Coordinator).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations for each student
• Deliver differentiated, individualized instruction across multiple content areas
• Apply positive behavior supports and interventions tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, support staff, and families
• Track student progress and ensure compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and organized classroom environment
