Job summary

Tufts VETS in Walpole, MA seeks a Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead on-floor operations across multiple services, coach staff, and ensure excellent patient care in a fast-paced hospital.

Requirements include a Veterinary Technology degree, CVT/LVT/RVT, 5+ years as a tech and 2+ years in leadership; VTS desirable. This full-time, on-site role includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Veterinary Technology and/or Animal Science.
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) required.
• 5+ years working in veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in specialty and/or emergency medicine preferred.
• VTS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Veterinary Technician.
• Motivate, inspire, and empower team members.
• Ensure optimal patient care by providing clear direction for staff.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations for specialty services.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and inventory for specialty services.
• Provide coaching and training aligned with hospital expectations.
• Lead department meetings and ongoing staff development.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
