Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Senior Leader to head Specialty Exposure Management, overseeing pre- and post-bind modelling for non-natural catastrophe portfolios and driving analytics across exposure management platforms. You will work with underwriting to optimize capacity, validate models, and ensure robust data governance in a dynamic, AI-enabled environment.

The role requires a decade of catastrophe modelling or portfolio analytics experience, strong SQL skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in catastrophe modelling, exposure management, or portfolio analytics.
• Strong technical proficiency with exposure management data systems and SQL.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Understanding AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and data science applications in insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ascot’s View of Risk for non-natural catastrophe classes.
• Lead the Exposure Management team in daily activities and reporting.
• Partner with underwriting to optimize exposure capacity and risk-adjusted ROE.
• Manage relationships with data vendors and ensure timely, accurate service.
• Establish data standards and ensure data integrity across portfolios.
• Present exposure and model outputs to committees and senior stakeholders.
• Lead regulatory reporting for relevant classes.
