Job summary

Ascot Group in the United States is seeking the Head of Specialty Exposure Management to lead the non-natural catastrophe modelling, data, and portfolio analytics effort across lines of business. This senior role oversees pre/post-bind modelling, portfolio production, and regulatory reporting, collaborating closely with underwriting to optimize capacity and returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative/actuarial or related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of catastrophe modelling, exposure management, or portfolio analytics experience.
• Experience leading teams and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of AI, ML, data science applications in insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Exposure Management team in day-to-day activities, including modelling, portfolio production, and reporting.
• Develop Ascot’s View of Risk for non-natural catastrophe classes across lines of business.
• Partner with underwriting to optimize exposure capacity on a risk-adjusted basis.
• Manage data standards and ensure data integrity for analytics and reporting.
• Present exposure positions and model outputs to committees and senior stakeholders.
• Drive AI and automation initiatives to improve processes and insights.
