Job summary

Advocates Darnell School in Hudson, MA is hiring a Head Teacher to oversee a classroom of up to six students and staff. The role requires designing and implementing IEPs, supervising staff, and coordinating assessments and progress reports in a 221-day ABA program for students with autism and developmental challenges.

The candidate will collaborate with behavior specialists and consultants, lead team meetings, and ensure consistent student support and individualized learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Active pursuit of MA teaching license in Moderate or Severe Disabilities preferred/required.
• Master's degree and licensure in MA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support up to six students.
• Conduct and write educational, behavioral, and vocational assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Design and modify student programming to meet IEP goals.
• Collect and document data for IEP goals using an electronic system.
• Review data to measure progress and update IEPs and reports.
• Plan instruction and teaching strategies aligned with IEP goals.
• Lead and mentor classroom staff; run staff meetings.
