Job summary

The Darnell School, a program of Advocates, seeks a Head Teacher to supervise a classroom of up to six students and staff. You will conduct assessments, design and implement IEPs and progress reports, and collaborate with the behavior specialist and consultants.

Advocates supports growth, including BCBA supervision for certification pursuit, tuition support for advanced degrees, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role is housed within a 221-day ABA school program for ages 9-22.

Qualifications

• Supervision of up to six students and classroom staff.
• Design and implement students' IEPs and progress reports.
• Collaborate with behavior specialists and consultants.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a classroom team of up to six students and staff.
• Conduct educational, behavioral, and vocational assessments and write results.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reports.
• Lead team meetings, schedule development, and staff training.
• Collaborate with families and external consultants to support student goals.
• Maintain licenses and progress toward teaching licensure.
