Job summary

Muon Space seeks an experienced spacecraft structural analyst to join our team in Silicon Valley. You will own the full lifecycle of spacecraft and optical payload structures, from rapid conceptual analysis to detailed finite element models, test correlation, and risk-based decision making.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in aerospace structural analysis, a Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree, and strong skills in Python, Matlab, and C/C++.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of spacecraft or aerospace structural analysis experience.
• B.S. or higher degree in an engineering field (Mechanical or Aerospace).
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle structures analysis from early conceptual to detailed finite element modeling.
• Perform linear/nonlinear static analysis, modal, frequency, and random response analyses.
• Correlate models to test data and perform root-cause analysis.
• Plan test programs, write test reports, and coordinate on-site testing.
