Job summary

Turion Space in Irvine, California seeks a Program Director to drive execution across spacecraft program portfolios from concept to launch. The role requires leadership of cross-functional teams, strong customer relationships with government clients, and rigorous program control.

Responsibilities include master scheduling, risk management, and EVMS-based EAC accountability, with travel up to 25% and on-site/hybrid work options. This is a senior leadership role in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program management experience in the SpDA/RPO missions.
• Deep technical understanding of spacecraft design for NEI/RSOs.
• Proven success delivering programs through all lifecycle phases: proposal to closeout.
• Experience managing prime programs with budgets of $100M+ and teams of 40+ FTE.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentorship and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery for a portfolio of spacecraft missions against cost, schedule, and baselines.
• Serve as the primary interface with government customers and Turion in program matters.
• Build and manage program teams and supplier relationships to meet requirements.
• Develop execution strategies, master schedules, and detailed program plans across functions.
• Monitor and report performance metrics, financials, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Support proposal development, business capture activities, and contract negotiations.
• Align customer goals with internal execution and mitigate risks.
• Delegate with programmatic authority while delivering independently.
• Accountable for EAC and EVMS methodologies for the portfolio.
