Job summary

Turion Space is seeking a Program Director to drive end-to-end execution across a portfolio of spacecraft programs from proposal through launch. The role requires leading cross-functional teams and maintaining strong customer relationships with government agencies.

The successful candidate will manage scope, schedule, and budget while fostering collaboration among engineering, supply chain, assembly, AI&T, mission operations, and leadership. On-site with hybrid options in Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 10+ years of program/mission management experience in space/domains.
• Proven success leading programs through all lifecycle phases.
• Experience managing prime programs with budgets $100M+ and 40+ FTEs.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and on-site presence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery for a portfolio of spacecraft missions across orbital regimes.
• Interface with government customers and represent Turion Space in program matters.
• Build and manage program teams and supplier relationships to meet requirements.
• Develop program execution strategies, master schedules, and detailed plans across functions.
• Monitor and report program performance, financials, risks, and opportunities.
