Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Kirkland, WA, is seeking a Lead Space Simulation Technician to help push our fast-moving test and production programs for Leo hardware. You will lead environmental testing, tool assembly, and training, while ensuring safety and quality across shifts; the role requires endurance and adaptability in a start-up like environment.

Candidates must have extensive aerospace test lab experience and the ability to read engineering specs; relocation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace / Medical, etc.).
• 3+ years hands-on work in test lab environment, using basic hand tools
• 3+ years experience in a fast-paced production environment with Flight Hardware
• Minimum 3 years of environmental test experience performing at least one of the following: Vibration Testing Shock Testing Acoustic Testing Thermal Testing Thermal Vacuum Testing

Responsibilities

• Driving and developing departmental continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation.
• Operation of environmental test chambers (Thermal cycling, vacuum, HALT/HASS.) Lead process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
• Assemble tooling and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Lead daily team meeting facilitation, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions.
• Support new-hire training programs within your department and contribute to development and modification of training programs. You develop training plans for your team and are responsible for implementing training programs within your department.
• Drive safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance.
