Job summary

The Boeing Company in Seal Beach, CA, with options for El Segundo, Aurora, or Herndon, seeks a Lead ConOps & Architecture Engineer to advance first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. You will lead ConOps development, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive architecture across space and ground domains.

The ideal candidate has deep MBSE experience, extensive systems engineering background, and a track record of leading cross-functional teams in aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• ≥3 years leading cross-functional or cross-organizational engineering/test teams.
• ≥3 years direct experience with Satellite Systems Engineering groups.
• ≥5 years in systems engineering, systems integration, or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination across internal and external stakeholders to drive development and implementation of the operational concept for an executable space mission.
• Lead and present system reviews to internal and external senior leadership.
• Work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Conduct complex system trade studies to closure.
• Ensure proper system architecture supports mission objectives.
• Perform functional analysis and decomposition for mission activities.
• Coordinate with diverse stakeholders to resolve cross-segment issues.
• Utilize MBSE tools to capture system architecture and operational concepts.
