Senior Lifestyle in Lisle, IL is seeking a kitchen assistant to help oversee daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure high quality meals for residents.

You will follow standardized recipes, help with prep for the next day, maintain cleanliness, manage inventory, and support staff scheduling. The role requires attention to safety, health codes, and teamwork in a fast-paced dining program.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in a commercial kitchen or related certificate/degree.
• Candidates should be organized and good at communicating with coworkers and residents.
• Pride in quality and presentation of prepared food.
• Fluent English required to perform duties and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and others.

Responsabilités

• Produce meals and oversee production with focus on quality and portion control.
• Prepare meals from standardized recipes and complete production sheets.
• Coordinate prep for the next day’s menu.
• Participate in pre-meal briefings with servers and interact with residents.
• Maintain stock rooms, coolers, and freezers; label and store per health policies.
• Assist in staffing, inventory, ordering, and budget adherence.
• Train and schedule staff per HR policy.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene per health codes.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
