Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Lisle, IL is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare meals according to daily plans and standard recipes, and to participate in serving on the food line. You will ensure safety and sanitation standards while delivering quality meals to residents, guests, and staff.

As part of a team, you’ll respond swiftly to resident needs and maintain a positive, professional manner with all residents and co-workers, supporting a warm, respectful dining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets.
• Clear and effective English communication.
• Willingness to obtain food handling and sanitation licenses.
• Basic computer skills (Excel & Word).
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Positive and friendly demeanor with residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure all food meets safety guidelines and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest needs and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
