Job summary

Montage Healdsburg is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team, oversee menu development, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. The role emphasizes creativity, guest satisfaction, and strong leadership in a luxury hotel setting.

You will work closely with the head Chef, manage cooks, and contribute to innovative menu concepts while maintaining cost controls and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of culinary supervisory or management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of implementing new food concepts and menus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operation of the kitchen including recruiting, hire, train, and supervision of cooks.
• Implement cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Oversee menu development with head Chef, culinary innovation, and food presentation, ensuring offerings are creative and on-trend.
