Job summary

Eurest, part of Compass Group, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef in Hillsboro, OR. You will assist the Executive Chef, prepare and cook foods, and supervise cooks and food-service associates to meet production standards.

The schedule is Monday through Friday; previous management experience is required. Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $32.00 per hour, with a benefits program aligned with Eurest and Compass Group standards.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling and payroll.
• Stores food in designated areas following all safety procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and workstation.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and communicates them to staff and customers.
• Monitors peak production and service hours.
• Tracks inventory and informs supervisor when supplies are low.
