Job summary

Wegmans in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Sous Chef to manage the prepared foods operation, lead a team of cooks, and ensure the highest quality restaurant foods for our customers.

You will mentor staff, develop menu ideas, coordinate daily lineups, and help drive sales while maintaining high standards for safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Experience supervising a large team and ability to train staff on cooking techniques and food presentation.

• Lead cook and/or kitchen supervisor experience, including supervising a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation.
• Inspire our customers to successfully prepare products at home by offering meal suggestions and cooking techniques.
• Help drive sales, sharing the company's vision with employees and supervise the team to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure products are prepared with consistency, high-quality and are eye-appealing to our customers.
• Create excitement and educate others about new programs at Wegmans.
