Job summary
HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee daily food production for Patient Food Service, Physicians Dining Room, Cafeteria and Catering. You will supervise culinary staff, assist in hiring and coaching, develop menus for cafeteria and events, and ensure consistent patient-focused service while monitoring attendance and overtime per facility procedures using KRONOS.

Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional culinary leadership in high-volume settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food & catering trends, quality, sanitation, and presentation.
- Food Service Manager’s Certification required within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food production for Patient Food Service, Physicians Dining Room, Cafeteria and Catering.
- Supervise staff, assist in hiring, counseling, coaching and development; document staff records.
- Assist with menu development and coordination of large catered functions.
- Promote positive patient interactions and unparalleled service.
- Monitor attendance and overtime using KRONOS per facility procedures.
