Job summary

Forefront Healthcare is seeking a Sous Chef to lead food preparation in a healthcare setting. The role requires a strong culinary background and proven leadership with teams, coordinating meal service, and ensuring portion control.

You will collaborate with the Dietary Manager and Dining Management on menus and events, maintain safety standards, and participate in in-service training. This is a full-time, hourly position with days, evenings, some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong food/culinary background with proven leadership of teams.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and diet orders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food preparation and meal service.
• Plan and initiate a cooking schedule to meet meal times.
• Prepare, season, cook, and portion meals.
• Monitor food temperatures to meet safety standards.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
• Attend department meetings and training programs.
