Job summary

Eurest, a division of Compass Group USA, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for the Intel RNB Cafe in Santa Clara, CA. The role supports the Executive Chef, coordinates cooks and food-service staff, and assumes leadership in the absence of the Executive Chef.

The position requires cook experience and leadership or supervisory experience, with a full-time schedule from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. Pay is $32.00–$36.00 per hour, with benefits typical for Eurest employees.

Qualifications

• Cook experience and leadership or supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, reviews, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Stores food in designated areas following all food safety procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils; keeps workstation clean.
