Job summary

American Dining Creations, part of American Food & Vending, is hiring a Sous Chef in Dryden, NY. The role supports the Chef and Executive Chef in daily culinary service and ensures recipes and safety standards are followed.

The position works with culinary staff to maintain quality and efficiency, covering shifts as needed and reporting to the Executive Chef or General Manager. We offer weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in culinary arts or hospitality preferred.
• Three years experience in culinary leadership role.
• Experience in planning staff schedules and hiring.
• Knowledge of local and state food safety regulations.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for daily shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef with all culinary service points, including food stations and catering events.
• Provide guidance and supervise BOH staff.
• Ensure recipe standards, ingredients, and food safety protocols are met.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized, maintain production records and equipment.
• May cover a shift or station during peak operation hours.
• Meet daily with Executive Chef or General Manager regarding operations.
• May be assigned other duties as needed.
