Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Sous Chef for the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. This full-time role runs Tue-Fri 12:30 PM–8:30 PM and Sat 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, reporting to the Executive Chef and coordinating with campus dining staff.

The ideal candidate has culinary leadership experience, a culinary degree preferred, and thrives in a fast-paced catering environment while delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a high-volume setting.
• Strong food preparation and plating skills.
• Ability to maintain quality and consistency under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals to specifications in a timely manner.
• Measure ingredients and portions accurately.
• Ensure adherence to sanitation standards and procedures.
• Manage kitchen inventory and ensure freshness and quality.
• Oversee opening/closing duties as directed by Executive Chef.
