Job summary

Cece's Roland Park, part of Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, seeks a talented Sous Chef to lead daily culinary operations in a high-volume setting. You’ll ensure kitchen standards, manage BOH inventory, and mentor staff while upholding safety and quality.

Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package after eligibility, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience supervising kitchen staff in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage inventory and food ordering.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control and/or assist with the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue within company policies; ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Assist with maintaining a professional kitchen image, cleanliness, uniforms and appearance standards.
• Uphold consistent product and service standards of the highest quality.
• Control and/or assist with control of BOH food costs through ordering, weekly inventory, and reviewing financial reports.
• Ensure a safe working environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents.
• Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness in compliance with standards.
• Recruit, interview and hire supervisory and hourly team members; supervise and motivate; discipline as needed.
• Train employees on ongoing basis.
• Lead by example to other team members and mentor new staff.
