Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Level 2 Sorter for our recycling center in the Springfield, MO area. You will oversee and perform operations support, including sorting, inventory control, quality checks, and safety compliance to keep the line running smoothly.

Responsibilities include sorting/recovering materials, clearing jams, assisting other sorters, and coordinating with equipment operators. Requires at least 6 months of recycling-center experience and Lock Out/Tag Out training.

Qualifications

• Trained in Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience in a recycling center.

Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate recoverable materials from incoming waste.
• Deposit recyclables into appropriate chute.
• Assist other sorters with heavy items as needed.
• Communicate with equipment operators about incoming loads requiring special attention.
• Increase line production by reducing downtime and training sorters.
