Job summary

ION Solar is seeking a Crew Lead Installer in Bloomington, IL to lead rooftop PV installations and guide a crew to complete projects safely and efficiently. You will read and apply installation plans, wire PV systems, and ensure everything is weather-sealed and aligned with codes.

You will train teammates and coordinate with electricians as needed, while maintaining site cleanliness. The role requires strong knowledge of PV systems, reading plans, and a valid driver’s license, with a focus on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Solar install experience required.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install solar panels on rooftops.
• Configure PV systems based on site conditions and customer needs; connect to grid.
• Lead crew and ensure safety and quality on job sites.
• Review plans and count parts to verify BOM before work begins.
• Ensure proper cleanup and follow-up with customers after install.
