Job summary

ION Solar is seeking a Crew Lead Installer to assemble, install, and maintain solar PV systems and to provide leadership to crew members on the job. The role requires hands-on expertise with solar equipment, rooftop installation, and PV configurations while emphasizing safety and quality control on each project.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Solar Install experience is required.
• Vocational or technical school training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs.
• Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customer needs; connects panels to the power grid.
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with emphasis on crew safety.
• Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
• Ensures equipment is weather-sealed.
• Assists Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system.
• Train crew members on components and procedures.
• Review plans and count parts from the plan set to verify BOM.
• Responsible for final system walkthrough with the customer.
• Ensure cleanliness of job site and installation vehicles.
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines and participate in safety meetings.
