Job summary

ION Solar is seeking a Crew Lead Installer in Bloomington, IL to assemble, install, and maintain solar PV systems. You will lead a crew on rooftops, ensure quality and safety, and work with electricians and customers to complete projects efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and solar install experience, with strong PV and electrical knowledge. This full-time role offers a day shift, salary range of $80,000–$85,000 per year, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive PV equipment and installation knowledge.
• Strong electrical wiring knowledge and problem solving.
• Ability to read plans and manuals.
• Familiar with hand/power tools for PV installation.
• Able to use company tech like Paycom, Field Pro, Salesforce.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install solar panels on roofs.
• Configure PV systems per site conditions and connect to grid.
• Maintain quality and crew safety standards.
• Complete projects per policies and procedures.
• Ensure equipment is weather-sealed and inspect systems.
• Train crew on components, tools, and communication.
• Review plans and verify BOM before work begins.
• Perform final walkthrough with customer for quality.
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
