Summary

Power, LLC, is actively seeking an experienced Lead Solar Installation Technician to join our Solar Division. As a Lead Solar Installation Technician, you will oversee a crew of solar installation technicians, ensuring the safe, precise, and efficient installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.

The position requires up to 90% travel to various job sites throughout the United States, with a home base in California. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of solar installation technicians in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan and execute solar installation projects.
  • Ensure all installations are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on proper procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all activities.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility.
  • Develop installation plans to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and materials.
  • Travel up to 80-90% to various job sites across the U.S.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of solar installation experience.
  • NABCEP certification.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Effective team leadership and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and safety commitment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
