Summary
Power, LLC, is actively seeking an experienced Lead Solar Installation Technician to join our Solar Division. As a Lead Solar Installation Technician, you will oversee a crew of solar installation technicians, ensuring the safe, precise, and efficient installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.
The position requires up to 90% travel to various job sites throughout the United States, with a home base in California. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of solar installation technicians in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan and execute solar installation projects.
- Ensure all installations are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on proper procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all activities.
- Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility.
- Develop installation plans to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure availability of necessary equipment and materials.
- Travel up to 80-90% to various job sites across the U.S.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of solar installation experience.
- NABCEP certification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Effective team leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and safety commitment.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
