Position Title: Lead Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance activities during their assigned shift, reporting directly to the O&M Manager. This role involves providing maintenance services for all BHS, PBB, and gate equipment and systems, from the main equipment disconnect to the end device. Preventive and corrective maintenance at mechanical and electrical levels of the material handling system are performed during dwell periods and non-operational hours.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment, including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling, and conveyor systems, using diagrams, manuals, and tools.
- Practice safe working procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
- Prepare and execute service calls, emergency, and corrective maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and follow-up on work orders.
- Report service calls and advise on system optimization.
- Develop service tools and support means.
- Un-jam conveyors and handle system errors.
- Attend manual encoding stations and load correction zones.
- Complete CMMS reports, parts usage, and warranty records.
- Research and request spare parts.
- Perform inventory counts.
- Work independently on preventive maintenance.
- Identify planning and tooling issues, providing input for improvements.
- Assist other technicians in fault correction.
- Correct standard faults independently.
- Guide less experienced technicians.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Valid Driver's License.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to attain and maintain an Airport ID Badge.
- Ability to attain and maintain a Customs & Border Protection Security Seal.
- Ability to attain and maintain an airport-issued driver’s permit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of material handling experience.
- Minimum 1 year of CMMS experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Basic controls (PLC, PC) systems knowledge.

Work Details:
- Full-time, 24/7 operation, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- No travel required.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, occasional lifting up to 120 lbs, climbing, reaching, and working at heights.
- Work environment includes exposure to fumes, mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise.
Other Duties:
