Job summary

Envelop Group's PSG Energy Group is seeking an on-site Superintendent to oversee construction activities for solar projects across Indiana and Illinois, with occasional travel to Ohio. You will coordinate subcontractors, read plans, enforce safety, and manage schedule and budget in partnership with the Project Manager.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years managing jobsites with multiple trades, 2+ years solar/storage installation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years managing jobsites with multiple trades in commercial construction.
• 2+ years solar/storage installation experience on roof/ground systems.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs and schedules.
• Familiarity with AC/DC systems, inverters, switchgear, PV components.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Team-oriented with strong communication to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site construction activities per plans, schedules, quality and safety.
• Participate in site assessments, surveying, measuring and layout.
• Involve in preconstruction planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement and coordination.
• Read and interpret installation plans and construction documents.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, contractors and team members.
• Ensure site safety, regulatory compliance and documentation records.
• Manage equipment, materials and subcontractor schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Assist Project Manager with scope, schedule and budget updates.
• Oversee solar installation from mobilization through commissioning and demobilization.
• Perform regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Complete pre-hire requirements including drug test and background check.
