Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking an Estimating Manager (Solar) to lead and execute large EPC estimates across multiple pursuits. You will direct a team of estimators, define scope and assumptions, and ensure timely, accurate, high-quality packages aligned with company goals.

The role involves coordinating with project management, operations, engineering, procurement, and leadership to develop strategies, support bid reviews, and enable seamless turnover to execution teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Drafting & Estimating, or equivalent experience.
• Seven+ years of construction estimating and/or project management experience.
• Experience leading bids on a regular basis.
• Experience coordinating estimating resources and working within bid schedules.
• Experience supporting contract negotiations and proposal development.
• Experience working with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, budgetary, and competitive EPC estimates for large projects.
• Serve as Lead Estimator on assigned pursuits and manage scope, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate Estimator I–III resources to ensure timely estimates.
• Ensure compliance with RFPs, internal standards, and review processes.
• Organize estimates so labor/equipment/material assumptions are transferable.
• Mentor junior staff and support advancement through coaching.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
