Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking an Estimating Manager (Solar) to lead and execute large EPC estimates from bid receipt to submission. You will guide scope, assumptions, and risk, and coordinate Estimator I–III across multiple pursuits to ensure timely, accurate results.

The role requires 7+ years in construction estimating or PM, a relevant degree, and the ability to collaborate with project teams, operations, and leadership on bid strategy and turnover.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Drafting & Estimating, or equivalent experience.
• Seven+ years of construction estimating and/or project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading bids on a regular basis.
• Experience coordinating estimating resources and working within bid schedules.
• Experience supporting contract negotiations and proposal development.
• Experience with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, budgetary, and competitive EPC estimates for large projects.
• Serve as Lead Estimator on assigned pursuits and define scope & risks.
• Coordinate Estimator I–III resources to ensure timely bid development.
• Ensure compliance with RFPs, internal standards and reviews.
• Manage resources for on-time, high-quality estimate delivery.
• Document and present labor, equipment, and material assumptions.
• Participate in bid strategy reviews and turnover meetings.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior estimators.
